Alanis Morissette Announces 2026 LA Residency "Butterfly with a Machete"

Alanis Morissette has announced “Butterfly with a Machete,” a limited 2026 residency at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

Going down November 5th, 6th, 10th, and 11th, the shows will take audiences on a journey through the highs and lows of Morissette’s career over the past 30 years. She produced, performed, and co-wrote “Butterfly with a Machete,” described in a press release as a “multimedia, multi-disciplinary musical stage play set to her music.”

Tickets for Alanis Morissette’s 2026 LA residency first go on sale to Citi cardmembers on Monday, June 15th at 7:00 a.m. PDT. An artist pre-sale (sign up here ) begins the following day at 10:00 a.m. PDT, with a Live Nation pre-sale following at 12:00 p.m. PDT. Fans can sign up for Live Nation’s free All Access membership to receive access. Remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 17th at 10:00 a.m. PDT via Ticketmaster .

“Butterfly with a Machete” follows in the footsteps of Morissette’s fall 2025 Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Ahead of the LA residency, Morissette will spend the summer touring the UK and Europe (get tickets here ), followed by appearances at Levitate Music Festival and Riot Fest . She is also set to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Toronto on June 12th.
