Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, Ferreyra arrived in New York in 2022, though an injury forced an unexpected return to his home country shortly after. He returned in 2023 and quickly resumed the trajectory that has since positioned him among a new generation of performers working across multiple corners of the city’s dance ecosystem.
A graduate of the Martha Graham School, Ferreyra has built a growing professional presence in the United States through collaborations with several New York-based companies, including Hana Q Dance Company, Dance Action, Allison Cook Beatty Dance, and Zambian Baroque Dance Company. Across these ensembles, he has performed works ranging from contemporary modern dance to baroque-inspired movement rooted in ballet vocabulary and theatrical ritual.
This season marks a particularly active moment in his career. In April 2026, Ferreyra performed principal roles with Allison Cook Beatty Dance at Theater for the New City in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Among the featured works was Benji, The Creature , a work exploring mortality, transformation, and human connection through physically demanding movement language. He was also featured in Manifestations , performing in a central duet portraying two men attempting to sustain love and intimacy within a deeply traditional community.
In May, he returned to Theater for the New City to perform Lifeline , an acclaimed duet by Allison Cook Beatty, continuing a collaboration that has increasingly placed him in leading roles within the company’s repertory.
Ferreyra’s work with Hana Q Dance Company also brought significant attention during a performance in Pennsylvania in late 2025, where he was selected from among several dancers to perform a featured solo role built around themes of nature and transformation. The piece drew heavily from Graham-based movement principles — a language particularly suited to Ferreyra’s technical background and physical expressiveness. The performance received strong audience response, with attendees describing the work as emotionally moving and praising the clarity and depth of Ferreyra’s interpretation. The production earned particularly positive reviews for his performance.
Among his notable stage credits, Ferreyra also performed the title role in Banshee in Banshee’s Lamentation , a production by Magnifique, further demonstrating his range as a performer across contemporary repertory.
His growing visibility has also extended beyond the concert stage. In December 2025, Ferreyra participated in the promotional campaign for Testament of Ann Lee , the dance-centered film starring Amanda Seyfried . Directed around the physical and spiritual rituals associated with the Shaker movement, the project involved performances filmed at several iconic New York locations, including Pier 17, Washington Square Park, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The choreography emphasized restrained physical contact, rhythmic body percussion, elevated torsos, and ceremonial formations — movement qualities rooted in communal ritual and embodied expression. The campaign circulated widely across social media platforms, including TikTok.
Earlier in his New York career, Ferreyra was selected as a member of Graham 2, the Second Company of the Martha Graham Dance Company, widely recognized as the oldest contemporary dance company in the world. During that period, he also performed alongside members of the Martha Graham Dance Company in a large-scale holiday production sponsored by Dior on Fifth Avenue in 2024. Presented in collaboration with the Saks Fifth Avenue holiday light show, the event combined live Graham technique performance, couture costuming, large-scale public staging, and broadcast media coverage. Actress Jennifer Lawrence was among the attendees at the high-profile event.
Alongside his performance career, Ferreyra has maintained a strong commitment to teaching and the transmission of Graham technique in Argentina. He has taught at the National University of Córdoba and at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires, working with both students and faculty members. That experience has informed his long-term vision of creating a contemporary Graham-based training space in Argentina while continuing to bridge North and South American contemporary dance practices.
As his performance opportunities continue to expand across New York’s contemporary dance circuit, Ferreyra represents a generation of International Artists contributing to the city not only through technical excellence, but through sustained artistic adaptability and cultural exchange.
