Nintendo's June Direct brought big news for Zelda, Kingdom Hearts 4, Deltarune, and Final Fantasy fans. Notably absent from the announcements was any information regarding the Mario franchise.

Zelda, Kingdom Hearts 4, Deltarune, and Final Fantasy News From Nintendo's June Direct

Nintendo hosted a 50-minute Direct earlier today (June 9), featuring information on brand new titles as well as updates for existing games and news on blockbuster titles heading to the Switch   – check out all the big announcements below:

The big news is that a remake of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time will launch this year for the Nintendo Switch 2. The project was first reported earlier this year , and comes ahead of the live-action Zelda movie which will hit cinemas in 2027.

Elsewhere, a new trailer was shared for FromSoftware’s Switch 2 exclusive The Duskblood . A release date is still to be announced, but a closed network test will take place this summer. Ahead of its launch on June 25, a demo of the Star Fox 64 remake will be available later today via the Nintendo eShop.

Deltarune Chapter 5 will go live June 24 as a free upgrade and a free update is coming to Pokémon Pokopia on August 26, 2026 that’ll let you explore and expand underwater. A paid DLC is also on the way, that’ll give you access to the new town Bubbly Basin alongside new outfits, furniture and ‘mon. Part One of the expansion launches this August, while two more parts will follow at a later date.

A limited-time DK Challenge event will be available for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Gamers will be able to take on a number of challenges in classic Donkey Games titles and collect digital cards, while owners of the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC are getting a collab with Super Mario Bros. . The first of four waves is set to go live later today.

As for new games, cutesy rhythm mini-game collection Rhythm Paradise Groove features more than 30 co-op challenges  and music by renowned Japanese producer Tsunku. It launches July 2 for Nintendo Switch consoles. After the game was announced over the weekend , the Retold remake of Rayman Legends has been confirmed to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 when it releases on October 1, 2026.

Elsewhere, the complete Lies Of Pi is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6, while Devil May Cry 5 will be available June 23. Brand new Final Fantasy adventure Resonance will launch on Nintendo Switch consoles October 22 and a bumper collection of the first three Kingdom Hearts games and their accompanying expansions is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 this October.
