"First, Thomas has always played well at the PGA Championship, having won this major championship twice and finished top 10 another two times. But as I noted, this golf course is much more like a U.S. Open than it is a PGA Championship and the U.S. Open has been the worst major championship for Thomas throughout his career, having missed the cut the last three years in a row. This season on Tour, Thomas is losing strokes off the tee, on approach, and with the putter.

"Bentgrass has also typically been his worst putting surface as opposed to Bermudagrass where nearly every one of his career victories have come.
