How we source facts, how we keep editorial coverage separate from ticket listings, and what we will not publish.

Accuracy and sourcing

Factual statements in our reporting and guides are checked against a primary or otherwise authoritative source: an official announcement, a venue or organiser, a league or governing body, a public filing, or a named individual. Where a claim rests on a single source, we say so. Where we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.

Editorial content and ticket listings are separate

Our articles and guides are editorial. Ticket availability, prices, fees, delivery and order terms come from the provider handling a listing, and event details such as dates, casting, set times and venue policies are set by the organiser or venue. We describe how ticketing generally works; we do not restate another company's policy as if it were ours.

Provider neutrality

Our buyer guidance is written to be useful regardless of which provider fulfils a ticket. We do not rank or endorse ticket companies in editorial content, and we do not copy other sites' wording. OriginalTickets is an independent site and is not a box office.

What we will not publish

  • Events, dates, venues, line-ups or casting that have not been confirmed.
  • Prices, fees, totals or availability that we cannot attribute to a real listing.
  • Scarcity or urgency claims, or predictions about how prices will move.
  • Fabricated quotes, sources, statistics or images.

Time-sensitive information

Schedules, line-ups and policies change. Evergreen guides are written to stay accurate without date-specific claims and are reviewed periodically; the review date appears on trust pages such as this one. For anything that can change on the day, we point you to the official event, venue or provider source rather than freezing a value in our own copy.

Aggregated headlines

Part of our news feed is aggregated from publishers' feeds. For those items we show a headline, a short summary, the publisher name and a link to the original story. We do not republish full articles and we do not remove attribution. Details are on our content sourcing page.

Use of AI

AI tools may assist our editorial process, for example with research, structuring and drafting evergreen explainers. Factual and customer-facing content is subject to editorial review and verification as appropriate, is held to the sourcing rules above, and AI is never used to invent sources, quotes, statistics, events or prices.

Independence and transparency

OriginalTickets earns revenue from resale-affiliate relationships when readers follow links to ticket providers. That relationship is disclosed on the site, it does not decide what we cover, and it does not change the guidance in our guides. We aim to be transparent about relationships that could affect coverage, and our goal is always independent, honest information for the reader.

Sample and test data

Any sample or test record used during development is flagged as such in our systems and labelled where it appears. Sample and test data is clearly identified and is not intended to be represented as live ticket inventory or current factual availability. Prices are only ever shown attached to a real event record.
