What we cover

We report on the artists, athletes, venues, promoters, leagues, and producers driving live entertainment. Our coverage spans album releases and tour announcements, league transactions and game previews, Broadway openings and Off-Broadway debuts, festival lineups and on-sale dynamics, and the structural shifts inside the live event business.

Editorial team

OriginalTickets is produced by a team of reporters and editors with beats spanning music, sports, theater, and the ticketing industry. The full masthead - including bylines, beats, and contact information - is published on our authors page.

How we work

OriginalTickets combines two streams of reporting. The first is original long-form editorial - analysis, context, and pattern recognition produced by the OriginalTickets editorial team. The second is curated headline coverage from licensed RSS feeds, always attributed to the originating publication with a direct link to their full story. A complete description of our approach lives on our content sourcing page.

We do not republish full articles from other publications. When you see a story sourced from a partner publication, you'll see a clear attribution module and a link to read the complete reporting at the source.

Independence & ownership

OriginalTickets is editorially independent and privately held. Coverage decisions are made by the editorial team, not by advertisers, partners, or any third party. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. When affiliate or commercial relationships exist, they are clearly disclosed in-line with the affected article.

Funding

OriginalTickets is supported by a combination of operating capital from its parent company and, on a limited basis, transparent affiliate relationships with ticketing platforms. Affiliate links never determine which stories we cover, and they are always labeled where they appear.

Standards & accountability

Our reporting is governed by published editorial standards. When we make a mistake, we say so on our corrections page. Press, partnership, tip, and licensing inquiries all flow through our contact page.
