The Tom Patterson Theatre has opened its 2026 season with A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, directed by Graham Abbey and developed in collaboration with Groundling Theatre. The production features André Sills as Oberon, Michael Spencer -Davis as Nick Bottom, and Sara Topham as Titania, with performances now underway.

The play follows mismatched lovers and mischievous spirits navigating a magical forest, where confusion and transformation lead to unexpected resolution.
The cast includes Vivienne Abbey as Rose Petal, Evan Buliung as Theseus, Tim Campbell as Egeus, Laura Condlln as First Fairy (Viola), Heidi Damayo as Brimstone, Sarah Dodd as Rita Quince, Thomas Duplessie as Demetrius, Ijeoma Emesowum as Hippolyta, Vivien Endicott-Douglas as Hermia, Jordin Hall as Lysander, Steven Hao as Snug, Jessica B. Hill as Helena, Sara-Jeanne Hosie as Snout and The Votaress, Aaron Krohn as Francis Flute, Alexandra Krohn as Daisy, Derek Kwan as Limestone, Cyrus Lane , Dominique LeBlanc as Nightingale, Richard Lee as Philostrate’s Associate and Burdock, Tarique Lewis as Mustardseed, Angel Lo as Twig, Davinder Malhi as Peaseblossom, Michael Man as Robin Starveling, Silvae Mercedes as Moth, Mike Nadajewski as Puck, Anthony Palermo as Cobweb, André Sills as Oberon, Michael Spencer -Davis as Nick Bottom, Sara Topham as Titania, and Rylan Wilkie as Philostrate.
The production is directed by Graham Abbey , with set design by Lorenzo Savoini , costume design by Joshua Quinlan, lighting design by Kevin Lamotte , and music and sound design by Thomas Ryder Payne. Movement direction is by Stephanie Graham , with fight and intimacy direction by Anita Nittoly.
Associate and assistant creative team members include Maev Beaty , Patricia Allison , Freddy Van Camp, Barbara Morrone-Sanchez, Emily Trepanier, and Corwin Ferguson. Stage management is led by Brian Scott , with assistants Kelly Boudreau, Lily Cardiff, and Angela Marshall, and production stage management by Bruno Gonsalves.
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM officially opens May 27 and runs through September 26 at the Tom Patterson Theatre. Tickets are available at stratfordfestival.ca or by phone at 1-800-567-1600.
