Abby is a daughter of five mothers (mostly lesbians). Turkey basted into existence, her immaculate conception-like origin story has always defined her. But now, Abby is the same age her mom was when she had her. Cue: identity crisis. But instead of going to therapy, Abby wrote this musical.

Covering everything from gay divorce and sexual awakenings, Jewishness and being fetishised by Germans, to OCD and career heartache, Most of My Moms Are Gay is a sharply funny and deeply personal exploration of identity, family and growing up unconventionally.

Born and raised in the West Village, Abby Goldfarb is an actress and singer whose Off-Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, Harmony, and the World Premiere of Amid Falling Walls at National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene. Most of My Moms Are Gay is her debut musical and first appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Directed by Eddie Grey (2024 New Play Award Winner - Australian Theatre Festival) and written by Abby Goldfarb (Book/Music/Lyrics) and Jody Shelton (Music), Most of My Moms Are Gay blends storytelling and 13 original songs to create a vibrant and irreverent musical that is packed with heart and wit.

Most of My Moms Are Gay will debut on Friday 07 August and run through to Sunday 30 August (no show 16 & 23 Aug) at Greenside @ George Street .
