Heckle Her Productions is to present two readings of END OF THE DAY, EP 1, a new play written by Adrienne Dawes and directed by Jenny Larson -Quiñones, on July 27 and July 29, 2026, at venues in Brooklyn and the East Village. The absurdist work follows three British reality contestants — Tud, Myleigh, and Lancelot — isolated from the outside world after a massive extinction event, cycling through denial and acceptance as they search for love and connection. Inspired by Love Island UK, Sims 4, and Theatre of the Absurd, the play examines what the press release calls the anxieties of the "coronial age."

The cast includes Olivia Swasey , Savanna Zumbado, Dominic Raymond, and Ja'Michael De'Shawn. The first reading takes place Monday, July 27 at 6pm at Young Ethel's, 506 5th Ave, Brooklyn; the second is Wednesday, July 29 at 7:30pm at Under St. Marks, 94 St Marks Pl, Manhattan. JULY 6, 2026 - Heckle Her Productions invites audiences to cuddle up with End of the Day, Ep 1, a new play written by Adrienne Dawes, directed by Jenny Larson -Quiñones. Two readings will be offered on Monday, July 27 at 6pm at Young Ethel's (Brooklyn) and Wednesday, July 29 at 7:30pm at Under St. Marks (East Village).

Survival is not guaranteed. Neither is finding a boyfriend or girlfriend after a massive extinction event. Yet British reality contestants Tud, Myleigh, and Lancelot keep trying again, failing again, failing better. Isolated from the outside world, they dance between denial and acceptance, searching for love and meaning in a pointless, absurd existence.

Inspired by Love Island UK, Sims 4, and Theatre of the Absurd, End of the Day, Ep 1 explores the anxieties of seeking love and connection in the 'coronial age.'

Cast includes Olivia Swasey , Savanna Zumbado, Dominic Raymond, and Ja'Michael De'Shawn. Heckle Her, Paper Kraine, and jkjk are producing partners.
