Alex Cameron Details New Album and 2026 Tour

“Red Hook Rain” leads his fifth studio LP, Late to Set , which is due in July By Nina Corcoran May 13, 2026 Save this story Save this story

Alex Cameron is right on time announcing Late to Set , his fifth studio album, and an upcoming tour of North America and Europe. The new LP arrives July 24, but you can listen to the lead single “Red Hook Rain” right now below.

Late to Set follows Cameron’s 2022 album Oxy Music . The record is described as Cameron finding “pieces of his own reflection in the shattered characters he creates” as well as in “Agamemnon’s appetite for war, Mel Gibson’s ransom note, humanity’s pro-war destiny, [and] a cold war breakup.” That’s a lot, especially if it’s not literal, but then again this is Alex Cameron we’re talking about.

Cameron’s upcoming tour is split into three legs. The first is a headlining run along the East Coast in September, followed by 12 concerts in Europe opening for the Strokes the following month. Then, he flies back home to finish up his own headlining trek, this time tackling the West Coast in November. Find his complete list of tour dates after the jump.

Spot Cameron alongside Courtney Barnett, Moses Sumney, Julie Byrne, and more in Pitchfork Music Festival 2018: Artist Portraits .
