Anthrax Drummer Charlie Benante Sidelined for Two Weeks Due to Hand Injury
Charlie Benante will miss Anthrax's upcoming shows through July 4th to recover from a hand injury.

Drummer Charlie Benante is sitting out Anthrax shows over a two-week period due to a hand injury.
He missed Anthrax’ set at Hellfest on Friday, and will be off the tour through July 4th in order to allow his hand to heal. On the drum throne while Benante is sidelined is Darby Todd, who previously performed with Anthrax on their May 23rd show in Athens, Greece, when Benante had a conflict playing a gig with Pantera in support of Metallica the next day.

Benante stated:
“I wanted to let everyone know that I unfortunately injured my right hand and, following my doctor’s orders, I’ll be sitting out a handful of shows from June 20 through July 4 to give it the proper time to heal.
I’m incredibly grateful that Darby Todd will be stepping in behind the kit for these dates and helping keep the shows rolling while I recover.
I’m already focused on getting healthy and look forward to being back on the road soon. Thank you all for the support and understanding.”
