Following it's run at New York City Fringe, Kona Morris is set to bring her show, How to Poop in an Outhouse at -72°F, to Los Angeles for one night only on Sunday, June 14th. The production is directed by Padraic Lillis .

How to Poop in an Outhouse at -72°F follows Morris, as she tells the true story of falling in love with a Native Alaskan and moving to a remote village north of the Arctic Circle.

Audiences can expect the thrill of grizzly bears, whirlpools, and northern lights, while learning about life in northern Alaska, and the transformation that happens when someone takes chances and embraces the unknown, as Morris' expert storytelling transports them to the top of the world! Including lessons from the indigenous tribe of the region, and all the shocking and comedic tips for using an outhouse -72°F.

Kona Morris is an award-winning storyteller, writer, and educator. She has won The Moth SLAMs in New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston, and she came in first place for the Ojai Storytelling Festival Story Slam, which was judged by Featured Tellers from the International Storytelling Festival. She has been on television shows and podcasts, such as Stories From The Stage (PBS and the WORLD Channel) and the RISK! Podcast. Her episode on Stories From The Stage, entitled, "Getting Away With It," won a 2025 Signal Award. She starred in Denver's Live Drunk History Comedy Troupe, where she was Editor-in-Chief of Fast Forward Press, helped to run the F-Bomb Flash Fiction Reading Series, and spent 14 years teaching literature, mythology, and creative writing courses to college students. Kona's stories, articles, and prose poems have appeared in a variety of publications, and she has been featured at literary readings, writing conferences, storytelling events, and comedy shows around the world. Kona teaches storytelling craft workshops to inspire others to tell their stories.
