Balmora Deletes Socials, Drops Off Holder Tour Amid Allegations

Holder and azshara are now on tour throughout most of June, but without previous tour headliner Balmora , who are no longer on the just-revealed new version of the tour poster.

This comes after days of drama that started with allegations against Balmora guitarist Jay Torblaa . Balmora issued a statement in response, writing, “In the past few days we’ve seen the evidence and screen shots of the behavior of our guitarist engaging with someone underage. We the other four members Danny, Paul, Colin and Chaz don’t fuck with this at all obviously. Jay will be stepping away from the band and our summer tour will continue on as planned.”

“We’re sorry for what seems like the lack of transparency,” their statement continued. “Just trying to figure out how to navigate this and continue with all the shows we have booked and planned to play. All of our love goes out to the promoters, our tour mates and everyone who fucks with us on some real shit.”

Backlash against Balmora continued online after they posted this statement, and they deleted their social media accounts and website in the wake of it. After a bit more silence, bassist Danny Cuneo said the band is “nuked” in his Instagram stories, sharing Balmora’s statement and adding, “I said this shit. Band is nuked. Don’t real fuck with all this weirdo shit. My fault slimes. I’m out. I started this shit years ago with my homie Brandon kinda just turned into a shitty monster of a band. Don’t fuck with people using their bands to act weird talking to those who are younger/vulnerable.”

Then last night it was confirmed that Balmora are no longer playing their shows this month, shows that were to promote their just-released album These Graven Halls (which Brie Percy from Holder is a guest on). The tour is moving forward without them, including a Brooklyn show at The Wood Shop on Thursday (6/4) , which is also with Field of Vision and Of Temperament .

Balmora were also scheduled to be on the first leg of Hatebreed’s 2026 Summer Slaughter tour . No word yet on whether they’ll be replaced on those shows.
