Billie Eilish on Aging: "I'm So Excited for My Face to Age," No Cosmetic Surgery
Billie Eilish reveals why she eschews cosmetic surgery, stating she looks forward to her face aging naturally. The pop star also shared details of a past PR training session that brought her to tears.

Billie Eilish doesn’t anticipate any facelifts or fillers in her future. On a new episode of Good Hang With Amy Poehler posted Tuesday (May 5), the pop star explained why she plans on letting herself age naturally, adding that you’ll never see her looking “botched.”

On the topic of growing older in the public eye, Eilish began by laughing at her younger self for previously thinking that she’d stay the same for the rest of her life. “I never thought I would not be a teenager,” she told Poehler. “I remember when I was 17, I was like, ‘OK, I am the person I’ll be forever right now.’ And that’s not how it works, obviously.”
Now, the nine-time Grammy winner doesn’t just embrace change, both physical and personal — she’s also eager to see it in action. “I am so excited to age, and I’m so excited for my face to age and my body to age and not change it,” Eilish continued. “I want my kids to look at me and have my face look like their face and not be some botched version of whatever the f–k is going on out there right now.”
The podcast appearance comes as the singer is gearing up to release her 3D Hit Me Hard and Soft concert film, which she co-directed alongside James Cameron, on May 8. It’s not the first time she’s addressed the topic of cosmetic procedures, having told The Guardian in 2021, “It’s completely fine to get work done — do this, do that, do what makes you feel happy.”
“It’s just when you deny it and say, ‘Oh, I got this all on my own, and if you just tried harder, you could get it,'” she continued at the time. “That makes me literally furious. It is so bad for young women — and boys, too — to see that.”
Elsewhere on Good Hang , Eilish spoke about another type of authenticity she values. Known for being blunt and sometimes brash in interviews — particularly when she first found fame as a young teenager — the two-time Oscar winner revealed that she once did a single session of PR training when she was 14 and hated every minute of it.
“I sobbed through it,” she recalled. “I hated it so much. It was literally the scariest s–t of all time. I only did one session and it was under an hour, and I sobbed, and I left, and I did not follow any of the rules after that.”
