Bizarrap and Bad Bunny Characters to Appear in Spanish ‘Toy Story 5’

Bizarrap can now add “voice actor” to his résumé. The Argentine DJ and producer announced that he will be joining the Disney and Pixar universe, bringing one of the animated film Toy Story 5 characters to life in the Spanish-language version of the upcoming animated film.

To make the news official, the artist posted a carousel of photos on his Instagram account on Monday (June 1), in which he appears with toys of the iconic characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear. One of the photos features him wearing a black baseball cap featuring the font and colors of the franchise’s logo, but the letters form the abbreviation the artist uses for his name: BZRP.

“I am the voice of ‘Santa de Jardín,’ the new character in Toy Story 5 ((last pic)),” he captioned his post. “Unexpected places you can reach by doing what you love, chapter 42.” The final image of his character features a weathered garden gnome wearing a classic pointy red hat and sporting a bushy white beard.

A press release distributed on Monday (June 1) confirmed that the creator of the “BZRP Music Sessions” will lend his voice to the character “Santa de Jardín” (Garden Santa) in the Spanish-dubbed version of the film, which will be available in Latin America and Spain. According to the statement, “Santa de Jardín” is part of a small community of forgotten toys in a backyard and serves as their protector.

The announcement comes just days after Pixar revealed that Bad Bunny will voice the character Pizza With Sunglasses, both in the original English version and the Spanish-dubbed version. Biza’s character and the “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” singer will share a scene together, the press release revealed.

Toy Story 5 will premiere in the United States on June 19, one day after its release in markets including Mexico and Argentina. Watch the official Spanish-language trailer below:
