The Hollywood Reporter reached out to her rep for more information.

Born in Wales in 1951, Tyler is responsible for some of the biggest hits of the ‘80s, most notably “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Holding Out For a Hero.” She had her first hit in the late ‘70s with “Lost in France” off her debut album, The World Starts Tonight.

“Total Eclipse of the Heart” went platinum, while “Holding Out For A Hero,” with its ultra-dramatic production, became a near-ubiquitous needle drop in films and TV shows, first with Footloose, for which the song was written, and subsequently in films like Shrek 2 and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Known for her distinctively raspy voice, Tyler also became the first British female artist to debut at No. 1 on the U.K. album charts with her 1983 album Faster Than the Speed of Night .

Most recently, Tyler released her eighteenth album, The Best Is Yet to Come , in 2021.
