Broadway Bares San Francisco was presented at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, and raised a record-breaking $177,787 in support of the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This waas the ninth edition of the San Francisco fundraiser.

The event was hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race's Irene the Alien, and featured large-scale dance numbers, high-energy fundraising moments, and a cast of Bay Area performers. Broadway Bares SF will return in 2027 for its 10th edition.

Broadway Bares: License to Strip, an espionage-inspired edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ annual event, will return to NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in two performances at 9:30 pm and midnight.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the philanthropic heart of Broadway, is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theater community, since 1988 Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has awarded more than $300 million for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.
