Carín León Announces New Album MUDA and Drops Single “Ruca”

Mexican superstar Carín León has confirmed that his upcoming album, MUDA , will arrive on May 7th, and celebrated the news with the release of a new single off the project titled “Ruca.”

MUDA will be comprised of 14 tracks, including the smooth and twangy “La Buena,” which dropped last week, along with collaborations with Rawayana and Juanes on “Bingo” and “Carranga,” respectively.

“Ruca” was written by Andrés Jael Correa Ríos, Casta, and Edgar Barrera, with the latter two serving as producers. The work showcases a stylistic pivot for León, grooving and moving with disco funk influences, appealing to the global audience that will meet him on his upcoming tour. “Ruca” also arrives with an accompanying music video filmed at Club Obregón, directed by Yerick Johnson with production by Gibran “Kran” Rosas of Black Corp.

In support of the album, León has mapped out a major North American tour , kicking off in Hidalgo, Texas, on May 20th. The festivities will continue through October 9th in Portland, Oregon, and will also stop in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Orlando, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Nashville.

Other significant stops along the road include a headlining return to Madison Square Garden on June 22nd and the first-ever true music performance at the Nu Stadium in Miami on June 28th. Later this year, León will make history as the first Latin artist to headline Sphere in Las Vegas, with shows across the weekends of September 4th-6th and 11th-13th.
