Metz will star as 'Angelique' in & Juliet through September 13, 2026.

Chrissy Metz is living out a f*ckin' perfect Broadway dream. The television star just stepped into the shoes of 'Angelique' in & Juliet beginning tonight at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, marking her Broadway debut!

"I didn't think this would happen. I didn't go to a fancy school. I've always wanted to do [Broadway], but I was very afraid! I hope that this will impart that like, it's never too late," she told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge . "You're never too old to follow your dreams and do what you want and what you love... cause I'm doing it!"

Currently in its fourth summer on Broadway, & Juliet opened in November 2022 and will celebrate its 1500th performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Metz joins a cast that also includes Gianna Harris as ‘Juliet,’ James Monroe Iglehart as ‘Lance,’ Alison Luff as ‘Anne,’ Drew Gehling as ‘Shakespeare,’ Michael Iván Carrier as ‘May,’ Bayardelle as ‘Angélique,’ Liam Pearce as ‘Romeo,’ and Nathan Levy as ‘François’. Gabe Amato , Daniel Assetta , Reese Britts , Nicholas Cooper , Jhailyn Paige Farcon , Laurie Hernandez , Makai Hernandez , Joomin Hwang , Elsa Keefe , Alaina Ví Maderal, Daniel J. Maldonado , Mackenzie Meadows , Esosa Oviasu , Cassie Silva , TJ Tapp, Zalah Vallien, Darien Van Rensalier , and Romy Vuksan complete the cast.

"I feel so lucky on so many levels because I feel very supported. I feel very encouraged. I feel very loved. And everybody's been very patient because the dancing and the singing stuff is new. When you're being silly, that's one thing, but actually hitting choreography and stuff, it's, dare I say, a whole new world. And that has been tricky for me."

This summer, *NSYNC star Joey Fatone will return to Broadway’s & Juliet, reprising the role of Lance. Tony Award winner Paulo Szot, who previously played Lance in the original Broadway company, will also return to the production.

Emmy & Golden Globe Award-nominated actress and singer Chrissy Metz will make her Broadway debut in & Juliet! Metz will star as ‘Angelique’ for a limited engagement.
