Maybe Taylor Swift is really doing this country reboot? Or was her latest public appearance merely a case of right place, right time, right lyrics?

" I Knew It, I Knew You ," the Toy Story 5 single that currently sits atop the Hot 100 for a second straight week, sounds more like Carole King than country to me, but it was billed as Swift's return to the genre in which she began her career as a precocious teenage singer-songwriter. But she popped up Tuesday alongside one of the biggest stars in country to sing one of her biggest country hits. It happened to be at an event co-organized by her fiancé .

Swift was a surprise guest during Lainey Wilson's performance at Tuesday's Tight Ends & Friends benefit concert at the Pinnacle in Nashville. The annual show closes out Tight End University, an offseason tight ends summit co-founded by Travis Kelce alongside fellow NFL stars George Kittle and Greg Olsen. At last year's Tight Ends & Friends, in her first performance since the end of the Eras Tour , Swift did "Shake It Off." This year, she was back.

During Wilson's set, Swift emerged to perform "Love Story," the 2008 country smash that began her pop-chart insurgency:
