Craig Finn readies “The Man I’ve Always Been Tour” with The Band of Forgiveness

Craig Finn is embarking on “The Man I’ve Always Been Tour,” beginning on Nov. 10 at Portland, OR’s Polaris Hall and ending on Nov. 22 at the Atwood Music Hall in Madison, WI. The Hold Steady frontman will be backed by the Minneapolis-based Band of Forgiveness throughout the musical trek, bringing new life to his solo sounds spanning almost 15 years.

In a press release, Finn detailed the origins of The Band of Forgiveness, saying: “I put together The Band of Forgiveness last year with three Minneapolis-based musicians – Nelson Devereaux, Joe Strachan, and Ethan Elseth. I had imagined a group of musicians that would help me take on some of my songs in a unique approach, one that let the stories shine through but still brought a high level of musicality.”

Before fans can get a taste of “The Man I’ve Always Been Tour,” Finn will hit the road with Patterson Hood for the “Devils in the Details Tour.” The two musicians will kick things off at The Fitzgerald in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 9. The summer tour will run for ten dates, visiting Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.

Additionally, Craig Finn has plans to hit the road supporting The Mountain Goats across the pond. The EU/UK tour will run for 14 dates, beginning at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki, Finland, on Oct. 5. Craig Finn and The Mountain Goats will bring their show to a close on Oct. 23 at the Bristol Beacon in Bristol, United Kingdom. See full routing below.

In January, Finn previously hit the stage at Whelan’s in Dublin, Ireland, with a nearly sold-out show, grossing $6,513, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
