At The Dallas Opera's (TDO) annual Kids Opera Boot Camp this summer, children can learn all about the magic of opera and the arts.

Led by TDO's Education staff and artists, this FREE, 3-hour workshop teaches children the ins and outs of putting on an opera performance. Students in grades K–6 will explore music, stage movement, and visual arts from TDO's professional opera singers. At the end of the session, the TDO singers will perform the children's opera THE BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS, which celebrates teamwork, friendship, and kindness.

The popular workshop hosts hundreds of children every year, including more than 200 D-FW students in 2025. Spots are still available for its 2026 dates. This half-day workshop is open to individual children, school groups, and out-of-school time organizations. All individual children and groups must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Inspire a lifelong love of this classic art form by sending your children to a Kids Opera Boot Camp session.
