Producing Artistic Directors Courtney Burkett, Sarah Clare Corporandy, and Sarah Winkler said in a statement that the company was excited to share a “diverse and thrilling” season with audiences.

Described as a satire about parenting and public health, the Tony Award-winning play is set at an elementary school where a mumps outbreak challenges the community's progressive values. The production will mark the Michigan premiere of the play.

The fourth annual edition of the seasonal cabaret revue will return with an entirely new show. Detroit Public Theatre describes the production as a holiday celebration featuring music, comedy, and vocal performances.

Set in Montgomery, Alabama in 1964, the comedy follows preparations for the Nacirema Society's 100th anniversary debutante ball amid family tensions, romance, and social pressures. The production has received support from The Roy Cockrum Foundation and will welcome director Steve Broadnax back to Detroit Public Theatre.

The solo play chronicles the life and career of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, tracing his journey from childhood through the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case and his appointment to the Supreme Court.

Season subscriptions and single tickets are currently on sale through Detroit Public Theatre. Flexible season subscriptions begin at $172, while True Cost subscriptions are priced at $400. The company will continue offering pick-your-price performances, alongside general admission, student, and system-impacted ticket options. Evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m., with matinees scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
