Drake Matches Taylor Swift's Solo No. 1s, Sets New ARIA Record with "Iceman" Album

Drake ties Taylor Swift for most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums among solo acts and sets new ARIA chart record with triple drop

Drake has tied Taylor Swift as the solo act with the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 , according to Billboard .

Iceman – one of three albums Drake released simultaneously on May 15 – debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated May 30, giving the rapper his 15th chart-topper and matching Swift’s tally among solo acts, as Billboard reported on Monday (May 25) .

The same triple release has also set a new record on Australia ‘s ARIA Albums Chart , making Drake the first artist to place three new albums in the top 10 simultaneously since the chart was first published in 1983 .

All three albums – Iceman , Habibti and Maid of Honour – were released May 15 via Republic/Universal .

On the Billboard 200 , the trio swept the top three positions – Iceman at No. 1, Habibti at No. 2 and Maid of Honour at No. 3 – the first time any act has held the top three positions simultaneously since the chart began weekly publication in March 1956 .

Iceman earned 463,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending May 21, according to Billboard .

The 15th No. 1 also makes Drake the first solo male act to reach that tally on the Billboard 200 , passing JAY-Z , who has 14 .

Swift collected her first No. 1 with Fearless in 2008 and her most recent with The Life of a Showgirl in 2025.

Drake ‘s first Billboard 200 leader was Thank Me Later in 2010.

Only The Beatles – with 19 No. 1 albums – sit above them.

The triple release also moves Drake to 20 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 , making him the rap act with the most top 10 entries on the chart, ahead of Future , who has 18 , according to Billboard .

On the ARIA Albums Chart dated May 25, Iceman debuts at No. 1, with Maid of Honour bowing at No. 5 and Habibti entering at No. 6.

The feat bests previous double-chart entries by Guns N’ Roses and Bruce Springsteen , according to ARIA .

Guns N’ Roses landed Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II simultaneously at No. 1 and No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 1991.

Bruce Springsteen entered two albums in the top 10 in the same frame the following year, with Human Touch at No. 3 and Lucky Town at No. 6 in 1992.

The releases mark Drake ‘s return to solo music following a period defined by his 2024 rap feud with Kendrick Lamar and a legal dispute with Universal Music Group that remains unresolved.

In April 2026, Drake ‘s legal team filed a reply brief at the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, contesting the dismissal of his defamation lawsuit against UMG over Lamar’s Not Like Us .

Drake filed a notice of appeal in October 2025 after a federal judge dismissed the case that month, as MBW has previously reported.

The albums have also made an impact on the ARIA Singles Chart for the same chart week.

According to Billboard , 15 Drake singles entered the ARIA Top 50, including five in the top 10: National Treasures at No. 4, Janice STFU at No. 5, Whisper My Name at No. 6, Make Them Cry at No. 9 and Dust at No. 10.

That takes Drake ‘s career total of appearances on the ARIA Top 50 – including collaborations – to 98 , according to the report.

He now holds 16 solo and collaborative top 10 albums on the ARIA Albums Chart , with previous entries including Views (2016), Scorpion (2018), Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020), Certified Lover Boy (2021) and For All The Dogs (2023).

Genesis Owusu’s third album Redstar Wu & The Worldwide Scourge (via Ourness ) bows at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart in the same frame – a career-best for the Canberra-raised artist, according to Billboard .

Ella Langley ‘s Choosin’ Texas (via Sony Music ) enters a second week at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart , the report adds. Music Business Worldwide
