Drake's Hot 100 Dominance: A Look at His Chart-Breaking Achievements Since 2009

Every new Drake release seems to bring another piece of Billboard chart history.

Since first appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 dated May 23, 2009, with his breakthrough hit “Best I Ever Had” (which peaked at No. 2), Drake has shattered record after record and reached unprecedented chart heights.

In 2015, he became just the fourth artist in history to earn 100 career Hot 100 entries. He joined the 200-hit club in 2019, then became the first (and still only) artist to reach 300 entries in 2023. In 2026, he extended that record even further, becoming the only artist ever to amass 400 career Hot 100 entries.

Among Drake’s many other Hot 100 achievements are the records for the most top two, top three, top five, top 10, top 20 and top 40 hits, along with the most No. 1 debuts in the chart’s history.

He also holds the record for the most No. 1 Hot 100 hits among solo male artists, with 14. Among all artists, he’s tied with Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the third-most No. 1s overall, after only the Beatles (20) and Mariah Carey (19).
