From the producers of Where Within and The Show of Many Things comes the world premiere of this “humerus comedy.” An osteologist’s lecture goes awry when an unwitting audience volunteer refuses to participate in her demonstration. The Bone Lady tells the story of finding out what happens to you when you die, and gain a new appreciation for the ones that care for us after we’re gone. One bone lady. One unwilling participant. 30,000 skeletons.

“It’s rib-cracking! It’s spine chilling! It's a tale straight from my skull! ” says playwright Marie Sadd. “I wanted a show that confronted the concept of death and what comes after. And we’re not talking metaphysically here folks; what happens to your bones?! What better way to explore death than with comedy. Our skulls are always grinning afterall, and the scariest thing can often be the funniest.”

Majority of the team members for The Bone Lady are returning Fringe Veterans—past projects include 2025’s The Show of Many Things, a multi-award-nominated improvised immersive experience, 2024’s Where Within, a multi-award-nominated new musical, and 2023’s Valley of Light, an original musical. Outside of Hollywood Fringe, additional projects include 2024’s The Cleanup Crew, a multi-award-winning actual-play comedy, 2023’s The Showroom, an interactive murder mystery produced in collaboration with Last Call Theatre, and 2022’s Stardust, an immersive theatre experience from Alterea Inc.

The Bone Lady is written and executive produced by Marie Sadd, directed and produced by Jason Pollak, stage managed and produced by Michaela Skaribas, and stars Marie Sadd and Shelby Ryan Lee .

Performances of The Bone Lady start previews on Saturday, June 6th and runs from June 11th to June 27th, with a run time of 45 minutes.
