Gwydion Theatre Company will present DRY POWDER by Sarah Burgess beginning July 9 at Greenhouse Theater Center .

Directed by ensemble member Ellie Thomson, the play follows employees at a private equity firm as they attempt to acquire and restructure a small luggage company. The production explores themes of corporate greed, wealth inequality, and the impact of financial decision-making on working-class communities.

According to the company, the play examines “the ruthless nature of the 1%” through its portrayal of executives focused on maximizing profit at any cost.

The cast includes Grayson Kennedy as Seth, Carol Kelleher as Jenny, Rick Yaconis as Rick, and Tommy Thams as Jeff.

Performances will run July 9–26, 2026 at Greenhouse Theater Center in Chicago. Shows are scheduled Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
