How to Watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Spanish
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off with an expanded 48-team format, featuring a historic opening match between Mexico and South Africa. Find out where to watch every game in Spanish.

On Thursday, all the action for the World Cup kicks off as Mexico host South Africa at Mexico City Stadium in Mexico City . It's a historic fixture, as in 2010, when South Africa hosted the tournament, Mexico were their opponents in the opening game, and now it's a chance to return the favor there. It's the third time that Mexico has hosted the World Cup, and they'll be the first nation to earn that distinction while sharing hosting duties with the United States and Canada.
It's the start of the biggest World Cup ever in more ways than one. Not only are attendance records expected to be broken, but when it comes to teams, there have never been as many as the 48 teams in action in the 2026 World Cup. That has led to the creation of a round of 32 before the round of 16 takes place. So with those additional teams, each will now play one more game than in previous tournaments on the road to East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the final will take place at the New York/New Jersey stadium.
Strap in for quite a ride as we see if anyone can knock off the defending champions, Argentina, in the tournament.
Where can World Cup matches be seen?
When it comes to watching the World Cup, all matches will be available in English on Fox networks, but in Spanish, matches are broadcast on Telemundo and Universio, all of which are available on Fubo TV ( Try for free )
