Japanese Breakfast leader Michelle Zauner has accomplished a lot of things. She's an indie rock staple and a bestselling author, and she just earned her first gold record a couple of months ago. (Her album Jubilee also just turned five the other day.) Now, Zauner is about ready to become a mom, too.
On Sunday, Japanese Breakfast played New York's Governors Ball fest. Like Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield earlier this year, Zauner made her pregnancy announcement when she displayed a prominent baby bump onstage. Japanese Breakfast played other fests like Kilby Block Party and Outside Days in recent weeks, and she definitely looks pregnant in videos from those sets, but she didn't quite come out and make it obvious. After the set, Zauner posted an Instagram photo of herself and her guitarist husband Peter Bradley with the caption "jpreggie!"
