Jelly Roll Addresses Bunnie Xo Divorce Onstage: 'Only Time I'm Going to Speak About This'

Just hours after his soon-to-be ex wife Bunnie Xo posted a new episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast addressing their pending divorce, Jelly Roll put up his response on his socials.

Speaking from stage in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Thursday night (June 18) on his Little ASS Shed Tour , Jelly Roll took a break from the music after performing his hit, “Liar,” and told the audience, “I wasn’t going to talk about this tonight, but while we’re talking about liars, the Internet is a liar too.”

TMZ broke the news Monday (June 15) that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo on May 18 after 10 years together.

Reiterating that this would be the only time he addresses the divorce, he said, “Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody.”

Jelly Roll then brought up Bunnie’s podcast, saying that every word of it was true. “That will be my best friend forever… Bunnie, I love you, baby. Thank you for those 10 years.”

Earlier Thursday, Bunnie Xo declared her ongoing love for Jelly Roll. She also addressed false rumors that she had cheated on Jelly Roll with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger or that Jelly Roll was dating pop/country singer Jessie Murph, whom he duetted with on “Wild Ones.”

As to what did precipitate the divorce, Bunnie Xo said the pair had a fight on Mother’s Day and she told him to “file the f—ing divorce papers.” And, to her surprise, he did. “Was this divorce mutual? No, it was not mutual, even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and just frustration,” she said on the podcast. “But was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call? … Absolutely. … My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce.” She added that over the past 18 months, they had “stopped communicating together.”

The pair had been very open about their struggles to have a child and their IVF journey and Bunnie said the divorce is not ending that quest. “We’re still having a baby together. We’re going to co-parent together. He’s my best friend. … J has been so f—in’ great about us having a baby together. We’re going to raise our little nugget as one big happy family.”

Jelly Roll’s Little ASS Shed Tour continues Saturday night, June 20 at Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine.
