KATSEYE Eyes Australian Tour to Support Upcoming WILD EP
KATSEYE hints at a potential Australian tour for their forthcoming WILD EP, expressing a strong desire to spend significant time in the country.
KATSEYE isn’t afraid of long-haul flights.
The two-time Grammy Award-nominated global girl group made a whistle-stop trip last week to Australia, where the band members participated in an exclusive fan Q&A experience and an industry showcase in Sydney, then flew to Melbourne for a one-off performance to close out the week.
That trip should be the first of many to the land Down Under, the singers told Nova 96.9’s Ricki-Lee & Tim.
When asked if the group would support their forthcoming EP WILD with a full-blown tour of these parts, the answer was, well, promising.
“Hopefully,” Megan Skiendiel remarked. “I said yes,” added Lara Raj, “like we will be here.” Daniela Avanzini told her bandmates to “manifest it.”
Lara had the last word on the matter. “No, we love it here,” she enthused. “So I think it would make us very happy to come back and spend a lot of time here.”
The girl group is currently a five-piece (Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae) while bandmate Manon is on a temporary hiatus (though she will make an appearance on Germany’s Next Topmodel ).
KATSEYE is on fire, thanks to the release of their Billboard Hot 100 hit single “Pinky Up” and their eye-catching performances at Coachella. Since then, the group has been added to the lineup of performers for the 2026 American Music Awards , on a night where they have nominations in three categories — new artist of the year, best music video for “Gnarly” and breakthrough pop artist. The AMAs are set for Monday, May 25 in Las Vegas.
Playing Coachella, Daniela remarked, was a dream come true. “It was amazing,” she told Nova. “It was like unreal. I think we’ve been dreaming of doing Coachella ever since we have even known that Coachella was a thing, and to be able to perform on that Coachella stage so early on in our career…we’re very appreciative of that opportunity.”
WILD, due out Aug. 14 via HYBE x Geffen Records, is the follow-up to 2025’s Beautiful Chaos , which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and features Billboard Hot 100 hits “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” In Australia, “Gabriela,” “Touch” and “Gnarly” are all certified platinum, while “Debut” and “Gameboy” are certified gold.
Universal Music Australia was behind the Australian KATSEYE contest and concerts, including the showcase at Linseed House at the Grounds in Sydney, presented under the IGNITE banner. Violet Grohl and Devon Again also performed at the fourth edition of IGNITE, spotlighting the music giant’s global priority artists.
