Kelela Can’t Work it Out With A.K. Paul on New Single “Outta Time”

Kelela has released another song off her upcoming album New Avatar . Called “Outta Time,” it features guitar and vocals from A.K. Paul , brother and frequent collaborator of the enigmatic musician Jai Paul . In the track’s accompanying video, Kelela and Paul sing to each other in a studio, confronting the end of a strained relationship as night falls. Watch the clip below.
The New York-based singer-songwriter first wrote the track while she was creating her 2017 album, Take Me Apart . “I sat with that song for so long, and it's literally untouched,” said in a statement. “I waited because I needed to build a house for this song that gives its sound more context.”
Out on July 10th, New Avatar will be followed by Kelela’s first international tour since 2023.
