Knocked Loose Overcome Accidents and Illness to Remain on Tour With Metallica
Despite their guitarist being hit by a car and their singer suffering Bell's Palsy, hardcore band Knocked Loose will continue their tour supporting Metallica.
Knocked Loose have been knocked around while supporting Metallica in Europe and the UK, but the hardcore band has soldiered on with the tour. Guitarist Isaac Hale was hit by a car, while frontman Bryan Garris was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, yet neither one of them called it a day.
Along with continuing to open for Metallica at stadium shows through a July 3rd concert in London, Knocked Loose are also playing select festivals and headlining gigs, as well as supporting Bring Me the Horizon in Poland over the next month.

Garris’ battle with Bell’s palsy was documented in a video tour diary. The singer noticed early on in the tour that he was “losing control over the left side of [his] face,” and went to a doctor to get checked out. He was then diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, which causes a temporary paralysis of one side of the face. Instead of dropping off the tour he opted to get treatment through steroids and acupuncture to continue performing.

Then, over this past weekend, Hale posted a photo of himself with his hand heavily bandaged, writing, “Tour update got hit by a car yesterday felt bad but got this boba after and it was really good.” He also included a pic of him holding up a boba tea, as well as another shot giving a thumb’s up, suggesting he would continue performing, as well.
Following the UK/European run, the Kentucky hardcore act will return stateside for a recently announced fall co-headlining North American tour with rapper Denzel Curry. That outing runs late September through early November, with an artist pre-sale starting Tuesday, June 2nd, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster , and a general on-sale beginning Thursday, June 4th, at 10 a.m. local time.
