Bathara Saverigadi Dewandoro, the Creative Director and initiator of Ksatria Fest—as well as a PON Gold Medalist in Traditional Dance Sport—emphasized that Ksatria Fest goes beyond a simple competition by building identity and a sense of responsibility among its winners.

"The winners of Ksatria Fest will receive honorary titles: Laskar Ksatria Tari Indonesia for the group category, Garda Ksatria Tari Indonesia for duets, and Wira Ksatria Tari Indonesia for solos. These titles are not just symbols; they represent a moral responsibility to contribute to the development of the dance industry and to inspire the next generation. We hope the winners can become new idols in the Indonesian dance world, blending technical quality with a contemporary appeal that resonates with modern times," he stated.

Furthermore, Bathara explained that the concept of tradipop emerged from the needs of today's creative industry, which demands dance pieces that are concise, visually impactful, and easily accessible without losing their core cultural essence.

"In many commercial settings, such as television or digital media, traditional dance is often cut short and presented incompletely due to duration constraints. Tradipop serves as the answer—a dance format designed from the very beginning to be concise, eye-catching, and visually powerful. However, its purpose is not to replace tradition, but rather to act as a gateway for the younger generation to discover our deeper cultural wealth," he added.

Through Ksatria Fest 3.0, Swargaloka reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the Indonesian dance ecosystem. The event is expected to cultivate a new generation of dancers who are not only technically excellent but also possess marketability and cultural relevance in the midst of rapidly changing times.

In addition to evaluation by a professional panel of judges in the final round, Ksatria Fest 3.0 introduces a more inclusive scoring mechanism by involving the public. Participants will be evaluated by five main judges with expertise in dance and the performing arts, alongside voters from diverse backgrounds—ranging from students and dance enthusiasts to the general public.

This system is designed to provide a broader perspective in evaluating the performances, looking beyond technical and artistic merits to measure public appeal and engagement. Consequently, the winning pieces will not only possess strong artistic quality but will also be well-received and relevant to various layers of society. Ksatria Fest is also viewed as a strategic step toward creating Indonesian dance idols who can become the new faces of cultural promotion.

Registration for the Laskar Ksatria Tari Indonesia (Group Category) opened from April 10 to June 6, 2026. All participants submitted their work via video format to be curated by the Ksatria Team. Out of 38 registrants, 15 dance groups from various regions have successfully made the cut.
