LA Jazz Festival Adds Terrace Martin, Cory Henry, and More to August Lineup
The 17-day LA Jazz Festival in August announced new artists, including Terrace Martin, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Adekunle Gold, Tito Puente Jr., and MonoNeon.

The LA Jazz Festival unveiled an expansive list of additional talent performing at the 17-day event in Los Angeles this August, and it includes artists such as Terrace Martin, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Adekunle Gold, Tito Puente Jr., MonoNeon and many more.
The massive festival will take place throughout L.A. in August with multiple events in various venues, including city parks, restaurants and neighborhood spots, the beach, streets and more.
The Jazz in Park events taking place across the city Aug. 8, 9, 15 and 16 will feature a diverse lineup of jazz and hip-hop artists, including African Rhythms Alumni Quintet, Maurice Mobetta Brown, Gordon Campbell, Isaiah Collier, Kenneth Crouch, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Mohini Dey, Kenyon Dixon and Duane Benjamin and the D .Ben-jamin’ Band featuring vocalist Meloney Collins.
The Caribbean Street Carnival will take over Venice for a free, full-day show with four stages, highlighting music from Cuba to New Orleans and genres such as Afrobeats and Latin jazz. On the bill that day are acts such as Charlie Sepúlveda & The Turnaround, Dafnis Prieto Sí o Sí Quartet, Adekunle Gold, Dayramir González, Oscar Hernandez & Alma Libre, Irvin Mayfield, Lado B Brazilian Project, Arturo O’Farrill & The Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble, Delfeayo Marsalis & the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Tito Puente Jr., Herlin Riley, Shawn Thwaites Rebel Quartet (STRQ), and more, as well as an appearance by the CSULA Afro-Latin Ensemble. The Jazz After Dark series, pop-up concerts in local restaurants and neighborhood spots, include sets from Fausto Cuevas, Henry Franklin, Oskar Cartaya, Melanie Charles, Lily H. Clark, Nick Finzer, Gregory Groover Jr., Joy Guerrilla, Keyon Harrold, Whitney Hernandez, Kneebody, Kiya Lacey, Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca, Jason Marsalis, Michael Haggins Band, MonoNeon, Gretchen Parlato, Paul Cornish Trio, The String Revolution, Emi Secrest, Isaiah Sharkey, Aneesa Strings, Tasha Taylor, Gabrielito y La Verdad and Warren Wolf. Additional artists will be announced, as well as venues, dates and ticket registration.
Previously announced events include the La Jazz Festival Opening Night featuring Lalah Hathaway, Fernando Pullum Youth Band, Pete Escovedo featuring Jean + Peter Michael Escovedo and Chief Adjuah.
The large festival will close with two nights of music under the stars, Jazz on the Beach, on Aug. 22 and 23. The beach shows will feature special performances and exclusive collaborations, and the bill includes John Legend, Janelle Monáe, Joey Alexander, Big Freedia, Ezra Collective, Free Nationals & Friends, Nubya Garcia, LA Jazz Festival All Star Band, Terrace Martin, Pedrito Martínez, Original Koffee, Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, Alfredo Rodríguez, Raphael Saadiq, Poncho Sanchez, Justin Lee Schultz and Charlie Wilson.
