Blending pop and rap with trap and electronic elements, "Fidget" sets the tone for Magnificent, a 10-track collection designed for kids and families that pairs high-energy production with affirming, message-driven lyrics. The song reframes behaviors like fidgeting and stimming as forms of self-regulation and self-accommodation, offering a perspective that resonates with neurodivergent kids while inviting parents and educators to rethink what focus can look like. Listen to it below.
Magnificent is created by Lachi and produced alongside GRAMMY-winner Lucy Kalantari and GRAMMY-nominated duo Andrew & Polly. The album will feature collaborators from across the family music space including GRAMMY winner 123 Andrés, Alphabet Rockers, and Mega Ran and includes contributions from over fifty artists and creators with disabilities, neurodivergence, and other conditions, reflecting the project's core mission of representation and inclusion.
The album is being released alongside a companion curriculum from The Nora Project inspired by Lachi's album, Magnificent. Through lessons tied to the songs' lyrics and themes, students explore disability and neurodivergence, reflect on identity, and deepen their understanding of social issues through music, movement, and guided activities.
Named a USA Today Woman of the Year, Lachi is an award-winning recording artist, author, media personality, and internationally renowned Disability Culture champion. Born legally blind, Lachi created the U.N.-recognized organization RAMPD.org (Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities), which works to make the highest levels of the music industry more disability inclusive.
From her Glam Canes fashion line, to her PBS series Renegades, to her award-winning book I Identify as Blind, to co-producing GRAMMY-nominated album The Colors in My Mind, Lachi leverages pop culture, through humor, music, storytelling, fashion, and public speaking, to challenge the stigma often associated with disability.
