Rising comedy performer Liv Rocklin will make her Edinburgh Fringe debut with her sharply funny and original musical comedy, An American (Not) in Paris; a genre-blending whirlwind of stand-up, original songs, and storytelling that dives headfirst into the beautifully messy reality of losing control.

Told through seven songs, six languages, and five undiagnosed conditions, the show dissects Rocklin's obsession with control, while exposing the chaotic inner workings of a brain on the brink. À la Rachel Bloom and Bo Burnham, the result is a fast-paced, deeply personal, and hilariously self-aware performance that resonates with anyone who's ever tried - and failed - to keep it all together.

Liv Rocklin (Winner NYU UltraViolet Live Talent Show 2019) has been performing for 12 years across New York City (Broadway Comedy Club), Chicago (The Second City), the greater USA and Paris, France. Selected as Best of Orlando Fringe 2025 and Funniest of the Fringe: Best International Sensation at Pittsburgh Fringe 2026, An American (Not) in Paris will perform Off-Broadway at 59e59 Theater's East to Edinburgh Festival before making its way to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Blending sharp wit with musical comedy and unfiltered storytelling, An American (Not) in Paris offers a fresh take on ambition and what happens when your life plan goes completely off-script.

An American (Not) in Paris will run Thursday 06 - Sunday 30 August (no show 18 Aug), 18:10 in the The Bottle Room of Just the Tonic at The Mash House.
