Broadway and TV actor Lori Hammel ' s comedy short "Resume of Regrets" has been selected for two legendary New York City-based film festivals starting with the "Women Filmmakers" block at Big Apple Film Festival on May 14 and at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival's "The Artist in the World" Short Docs Block on June 9.

Directed by "Mamma Mia" star Lori Hammel and Tom A. Capps and starring Hammel, the film transforms a routine job interview into an unexpectedly poignant reckoning with a woman's unfinished ambitions.

Blending authentic home-movie footage with live action, "Resume of Regrets" - shot in New York and Texas - explores the pull of unrealized dreams and the quiet courage it takes to forgive yourself and begin again. Hammel appeared on Broadway in "Mamma Mia," on the National tours of "9 to 5," and "I Love Lucy Live," plus countless productions of "Forbidden Broadway." She's also appeared on television in "Law and Order" and "Blue Bloods," and is a frequent moderator for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

"We wanted to create a film to inspire others to go after their dreams, that it really can be done," says director and star Lori Hammel . "This film was born out of my three unrealized film projects. So, I made a film about not being able to make a film."
