The worlds of Broadway, film, and performing arts advocacy were well represented at the 2026 Manhattan Power List, which honored influential leaders shaping New York City’s cultural and business landscape. For more than two decades, the Manhattan Power List has celebrated civic leaders, innovators, elected officials, and rising stars whose work continues to move the region forward through leadership, creativity, and community impact.

Among this year’s honorees were Wally Sedgewick , Vice President of Analytics and Strategic Planning at BroadwayHD; Rebecca Damon, Chief Labor Policy Officer and New York Local Executive Director for SAG-AFTRA; and Deeksha Gaur, Executive Director of Theatre Development Fund (TDF). The evening was hosted by Cheryl Wills of Spectrum News NY1, who served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the prestigious event.

Sedgewick was recognized for his leadership in expanding BroadwayHD’s global reach and modernizing the streaming platform’s technology and business model. Since joining the company, he has helped increase subscribership tenfold while overseeing strategic planning, customer engagement initiatives, and the acquisition of major Broadway titles. Founded in 2015 by Tony Award-winning producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley , BroadwayHD has become a leading digital destination for theater lovers worldwide.

Damon was honored for her continued advocacy on behalf of entertainment professionals through SAG-AFTRA and for her extensive involvement in labor and film-industry leadership organizations across New York State and New York City.

Gaur was recognized for her work with TDF to expand accessibility to the performing arts by removing financial, physical, and social barriers to attendance. A respected arts leader with experience spanning nonprofit theater, technology, education, and producing, she continues to champion audience development and arts engagement throughout the industry. TDF is a New York City-based not-for-profit performing arts organization dedicated to making live theater and dance affordable and accessible to everyone.

In keeping with the event’s spirit of civic engagement, 100 percent of the evening’s raffle proceeds benefited the Police Athletic League (PAL). For more information, see the 2026 Manhattan Power List ! See photos of the event and honorees below.
