You may leave a Broadway theatre humming the tune to your new favorite showtune, but it's the chorepgraphy that often takes that song to the next level. Choreography turns music into physical storytelling. Whether it’s a big ensemble number that fills the stage with life or a small, intimate moment between two characters, choreography brings a unique layer of meaning and magic to every Broadway show.
This season, seven choreographers receive recognition for their outstanding work on Broadway. Meet the Tony-nominated choreographers of 2026 and check out their work onstage below...
"Working on Schmigadoon! was a dream. It was the best company and team. The show is all about joy. We just laughed through the whole process. The material is great, the cast is great. It's just so joyful." Christopher chats more about his work on Schmigadoon!.

"I love seeing so many shows that are celebrating queer culture and the community. That's really beautiful. For us to be a part of that... and I mean, we are like the biggest show that's talking about the community itself, but there's so many other shows that have that storyline or have people in it. We are showing the world how, again, how human we are, across the board all around Broadway." Omari and Arturo chat more about their work on Cats: The Jellicle Ball.
Watch a clip from "Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer":
"What a privilege to like share this wonderful show that we like really went in and gave our all to. And now we have this visibility, especially for the two of us, who've been sort of grinding for a long time. And now like we're next to these giants of creators." Lauren and Christopher chat more about their work on The Lost Boys.
Watch a clip from "Belong to Someone":
"This is an unbelievable moment in my career. I am so proud of the work of Ragtime and the moment that I found out was pregnant and then I was doing the show, it was coming to Broadway, having my son after opening night, then finding out that I was a Tony nominee for that production. It's like a fairy tale.Working on Broadway is truly a gift to be able to create for audiences and to be able to share, and especially for Ragtime, it is a mirror to America and to have folks sit down and enjoy the show and feel all the emotions that it's telling you... to laugh, to cry, to be introspective and to share in community. It's a dream come true." Ellenore chats more about her work on Ragtime.
Watch a montage from Ragtime:
"There's something about this specific group of people and Sam [Pinkleton]'s vision for this show that gives a lot of room to discover what we can find that's new it it for us and also hold really close to our hearts what people love about it... because we love it too."
