Kara Zor-El / Supergirl

First glimpsed stumbling into the Fortress Of Solitude at the end of 2025’s Superman , Kara Zor-El is jaded, cynical and world-weary. She’s 23 and looking for what’s next. Her home planet of Krypton has been vapourised, leaving her adrift and alone – until she finds a deadly new mission.

Krem Of The Yellow Hills

Played by : Matthias Schoenaerts

A barbaric bandit, Krem Of The Yellow Hills is the alien antagonist about to come to blows with Supergirl. The leader of The Brigands, a gang of space pirates and traffickers, Krem’s face-full of metal studs gives him an immediately menacing look.

Ruthye Marye Knoll

Played by: Eve Ridley

A noble warrior, bound by a strict honour code, Ruthye is out to avenge her family’s murder by the ruthless intergalactic villain Krem Of The Yellow Hills (you know, the guy we just mentioned). Finding herself teamed up with Supergirl after leaving home, she is not to be underestimated.

Lobo

Played by : Jason Momoa

A cigar-chomping mercenary from the utopian planet Czarnia, Lobo is the coolest bounty hunter in the DC universe. He rides his interstellar motorbike – the Spacehog – through fire. He’s stacked in leathers. And his white face paint makes him look like Gene Simmons from Kiss . Crazy, crazy nights.

Kal-El / Clark Kent / Superman

Played by: David Corenswet

You can look forward to cousins Kara and Kal-El (AKA The Man Of Steel) reuniting on the big screen too. And Clark has some concerned words for his younger relative. “I’m just worried that you’re not going to find your stride here, if you keep going off-world all the time,” he tells Kara, in a typically heartfelt video message from the Fortress Of Solitude. Bless him.

Zor-El

Played by: David Krumholtz

Throughout DC lore, Zor-El is the man who saves Krypton’s Argo City from destruction when the planet is obliterated. As Supergirl director Craig Gillespie told Entertainment Weekly , the robe-sporting Zor-El is “a scientist and in academia” – and it’s through him that we see the opulent life he and his family lived on Krypton.

Alura In-Ze

Played by: Emily Beecham

The biological mother of Kara Zor-El and wife of Zor-El, Alura is Kara’s moral compass. Beecham, who worked with Supergirl director Craig Gillespie on 2021’s Cruella , revealed on TikTok that she “spent a lot of time in chic outfits in Argo”. So expect a deeper dive into the sealed-off city that survived the destruction of Krypton.

Krypto

Never mind man’s best friend. How about Supergirl’s bestie? “Krypto and I at least had each other,” says Supergirl, comforting herself. But things don’t entirely go to plan when Krem Of The Yellow Hills shoots everyone’s favourite white terrier mix rescue dog with a poison dart. Supergirl only has three days to find the antidote.
