In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) continues its commitment as a vital platform for presenting timely and resonant live arts, uplifting Asian American artists working across time-based disciplines, including music, theater, dance, and film.
The Museum of Chinese in America is proud to present “Performing Artists in Conversation.” This program invites performing artists and companies whose work has shaped and advanced the Asian American performing arts landscape.
Come hear from foundational artists, choreographers and artistic directors who built the Asian American Theater Movement. The first guest of this ongoing series is Tisa Chang , of the seminal Pan Asian Repertory Theatre. How did Pan Asian Rep start? What does it take to operate a physical theater? How has the field changed? What is the future of Asian American theater?
The event will be held at 4:30pm at the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) at 215 Centre Street.
