Blemme Fatale Productions has announced that tickets are now on sale for MOMME DOMME, a bold new work created by Blemme Fatale playing as part of the 2026 Toronto Fringe Festival from July 3-11 at Alumnae Theatre and at 10 PM from August 7-30, 2026 at Braw Venues @ Grand Lodge. MOMME DOMME is a sharp, seductive ensemble show about four women who arrive at a gallery expecting a mistressclass in dominance, and find themselves inside the artwork instead.

An exclusive preview of How To Be A Domme 101 will be hosted by performance artist and aspiring institutional darling Peggy Mitchell . Each night, four women arrive ready for a private mistressclass. From TikTok tarot readings to strap-on sashaying, MOMME DOMME weaves sonic intervention, ritual and voyeurism into an embodied surrender to the matriarchy. Part workshop, part intervention, MOMME DOMME is a seductive and surreal performance interrogating complicity, artistic consumption and the commodification of the feminine body. Done asking if we’re dating the same guy? Ready to surrender to the matriarchy?

Each night, a different cast of women drawn from clubs, collectives, and covens across Toronto and Edinburgh enter the gallery expecting to learn how to be a domme. Like Kirsta Kelech's Ladies Lounge at MONA, the exhibition that sparked a legal battle over who gets to enter a gallery room, MOMME DOMME uses the language of BDSM to expose the architecture of exclusion and exploitation.

MOMME DOMME contains themes of sexual violence, coercive control, surveillance, and institutional abuse. Intended for adult audiences.

Blemme Fatale is a cultural producer, performance artist and historian. Rooted in Pan-African oral traditions and the Seven Generations Principle, her work moves between the archive and the stage, the grant panel and the gallery floor, committed to the belief that the oldest currency in the world is a story; when lost or down on your luck, storytelling garners response. She is based between London, Toronto, and Jamaica.

Blemme Fatale Productions is a UK production company that co-creates hyper-local and chronically online live performances and supplementary schools that uncover hidden histories through Pan-African oral traditions. Boundless echoes, just like your mama's mama's mama knows it. Blemme Fatale Productions won Most Innovative Bite at Bitesize Festival 2023 for God Forgive Us, We Have Burnt A Saint by Aliya Gilmore and was shortlisted for the UNTAPPED Award 2025 for I’NA SUIT YOU by the young collective.
