So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out . We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
FAT DOG – “GO FUCK URSELF”

BABEHOVEN – “BLUE AROUND YOU”
Ahead of their tour with Ray Bull, Babehoven have shared “Blue Around You.” They say, “Standing on a bridge seeing apartments illuminated around you, being understood by a friend who knows your story, witnessing someone pull their life together like tenderly tying a shoelace; these are all moments where we find each other in the soup of it all and choose to really see one another and stay. I see the blue around you as if we carry the hard times we go through around and within us like a glow.”

BALMORA – “MOON LIGHT HYSTERIA”
Here’s another track from CT metal band Balmora’s upcoming debut album These Graven Halls . “We wanted to simulate being trapped in a nightmarish cathedral or dungeon while an entity is hunting you,” they say. “It also serves as a metaphor for life. We shan’t soon leave these graven halls of our lives’ suffering. The halls are you, the entity is only known to you.”

NARA’S ROOM – “RESEDA”
Nara’s Room release their sophomore album Tearless, thoughtless this Friday via Mtn. Laurel, and ahead of that they’ve shared a fina advance single, “Reseda.” “This song is a breakup song, before the breakup even happened,” Nara says. “It’s a song about knowing something is over. I think when I experience change and loss, I tend to recede toward familiar places and things that no longer exist anymore. Reseda Blvd is a long and winding road in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, where I grew up. It intersects with Sesnon Blvd. These roads intersect at almost the exact point of my childhood home, now gone, and yet I still recede. The loss of this relationship led me to recede to the idealized past of Reseda Blvd.”
