New Music Friday: Hannah Cohen, Floating Points, OSEES’ John Dwyer, and more
This week, hear new songs from Hannah Cohen, Floating Points, OSEES’ John Dwyer, corook, and Ziggy Marley featuring Big Boi.

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out . We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
HANNAH COHEN – “GOLDEN CHAIN”
“The song just spilled out of me in an afternoon,” Hannah Cohen says of her first new music since last year’s wonderful Earthstar Mountain . “It’s for the ethers now.”

ZIGGY MARLEY – “RACISM IS A KILLA” (FT. BIG BOI)
Big Boi features on the digital version of “Racism is a Killa” off his new album Brightside . “Big Boi is such a legend and a distinct voice that I have listen to over the years,” he says. “It’s a pleasure and an honor to have him join me on this new version of ‘Racism Is A Kill’ in this time. Really helps spread the message.”

JOHN DWYER (OSEES) – “HEATHEN AXE”
OSEES frontman John Dwyer rarely releases music under his own name but here he is with this Bandcamp Friday EP. “I wanted to make a totally fried recording,” he says. Mission accomplished!

LORELLE MEETS THE OBSOLETE – CORPOREAL
Mexico’s Lorelle Meets the Obsolete are back with this new EP featuring new songs and remixes by Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream, Sabres of Paradise) and Mythologen.

COROOK – “BANANA PEEL”
“It’s a song about being perceived by myself, by strangers, by friends, by enemies, and how hard it can be to stay connected to yourself when those lines start to blur,” corook says of “Banana Peel,” the latest single off their new EP. “We were thinking of how the ‘THEY/THEM ENERGY!’ video went viral, and I got a bunch of death threats. As much as I try to laugh about it, it was also about being really uneasy and not knowing how to feel about leaving my house or if I was going to continue as corook. Luckily it didn’t knock me down entirely but when you get back up after something like that, you’re different.” How do I relate to you? is out on May 29 via Atlantic.
