Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham are starring and executive producing Ride or Die, a new action comedy hailing from Prime Video and Paramount Television Studios. The streamer has shared first-look photos from the series, also revealing that it will debut all eight episodes on July 15.

Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham), after Debbie learns that Judith is actually an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past, and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. What follows is a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels.

Ride or Die also stars Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido. The series, created by Tessa Coates who executive produces alongside showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed, was first announced at Prime Video’s second annual Upfront Presentation last year.

The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, Amazon MGM Studios as well as Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s Double Dream and Octavia Spencer’s Orit Entertainment. Coates, Miller, and Reed executive produce alongside Octavia Spencer for Orit Entertainment; Hannah Waddingham; Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Irene Yeung for Double Dream; Brian Clisham; and Stephanie Kluft.

Hannah Waddingham 's extensive work in the theatre includes the role of The Witch in The Wizard of Oz (opposite Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope ), Desiree in A Little Night Music (Garrick Theatre and Menier Chocolate Factory ), The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (a role she originated in the West End, and played on Broadway), Into The Woods (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre), Bad Girls The Musical ( West Yorkshire Playhouse ), A Chorus of Disapproval (Theatr Clywd), Andrew Lloyd Webber 's The Likes of Us (Sydmonton Festival), The Beautiful Game (Cambridge Theatre) and Lautrec (Shaftesbury Theatre). She has received three Olivier Award nominations.
