Orchestra of St. Luke’s has announced its 2026-27 season at Carnegie Hall , featuring orchestral concerts across Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, the annual Bach Festival in Zankel Hall, chamber performances in Weill Recital Hall, and the contemporary-focused “Visionary Sounds” series at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music.
Now in its 52nd year, Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL) remains the only orchestra with subscription series in all three of Carnegie Hall ’s performance spaces. The 2026-27 orchestral season opens November 5 with conductor Louis Langrée leading an all-Berlioz program featuring tenor Benjamin Bernheim in his OSL and Carnegie Hall debuts.
The season will also include a celebration of Philip Glass ’s 90th birthday on January 31, led by conductor Dennis Russell Davies. The concert will feature the New York premiere of Glass’s Symphony No. 15, “Lincoln,” alongside performances by violinist Robert McDuffie and baritone Zachary James .
Additional orchestral highlights include conductor Christophe Rousset leading Mozart’s Requiem with the Clarion Choir and soloists Liv Redpath, Jamie Barton , Andrew Staples, and Ryan Speedo Green on February 11; Andrew Manze conducting Beethoven’s “Eroica” Symphony and Piano Concerto No. 3 with pianist Yeol Eum Son on March 11; and a March 27 benefit performance honoring the centennial of Mstislav Rostropovich featuring conductor Semyon Bychkov, violinist Maxim Vengerov, and pianist Evgeny Kissin.
The season concludes April 15 with conductor Daniele Rustioni leading works by Busoni, Dvořák, and Chopin, featuring pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii in his OSL debut.
The orchestra’s 2027 Bach Festival will run June 1-22 in Carnegie Hall ’s Zankel Hall. Featured artists include conductor Peter Whelan and pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen; violinist and conductor Théotime Langlois de Swarte; conductor Riccardo Minasi; and conductor Nicholas McGegan with tenor Nicholas Phan. Programs will feature works by Bach alongside music by Telemann, Pisendel, Vivaldi, and Graupner.
The chamber series in Carnegie Hall ’s Weill Recital Hall opens October 28 with Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Rita Dove’s Sonata Mulattica , paired with Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” Sonata performed by violinist Jesse Mills and pianist Rieko Aizawa. Other programs include “A Venetian Christmas,” an all-Vivaldi concert on December 9; Mozart’s “Gran Partita” on February 17; and pianist David Fung performing Mozart piano concertos on May 5.
At The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, OSL’s “Visionary Sounds” series will spotlight contemporary and experimental repertoire. Mezzo-soprano Megan Moore opens the series December 16 with music connected to Hildegard von Bingen and works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Missy Mazzoli, and Sarah Kirkland Snider. Additional programs celebrate Philip Glass ’s chamber music and feature works by Kaija Saariaho and Meredith Monk .
The coming season will also mark the 50th anniversary of OSL’s education programs, which began in 1976. The organization plans to announce new education grant funding and additional anniversary initiatives later in the season.
