ALL THE RAGE is a multi-layered theatrical event spanning 15 spaces and is an urgent collective response to the release of the Epstein Files. Created by more than seventy female-identifying and non-binary playwrights and artists, it confronts institutional silence, cultural complicity and the enduring history of misogyny.
It is a two-part experience. The first half offers an exploration of the office floor, where a series of durational installations, performances and scenes unfold. Moving between the 15 rooms, audiences will encounter spaces of rage, hope and resistance.
The second half brings the audiences together for a collective unifying act that draws the project's many voices into a single, shared theatrical moment.
Writer and director Rebecca Lenkiewicz conceived of the project in a playwriting WhatsApp group when the files were first released. She was joined by Deborah Pearson and Anoushka Warden who are producing ALL THE RAGE for the collective, in co-production with Roxanne Carney and Theatre Deli. Lucy Morrison directs.
Speaking on the project Rebecca Lenkiewicz says, "The need to make this piece came from a collective rage in response to the Epstein files. Not only the horrific events that took place globally, but also how the narrative has been shaped by the press - fixating on the money and the men, rather than the girls and young women who were at the centre of it. We are dealing with epic subjects; violence, abuse of power, misogyny, and trauma. The artistic responses across the group have been fascinating - muscular, fragile, formally inventive and all charged with a rebellious spirit. The space has been central to that process. Theatre Deli, Leadenhall Street has provided us with an incredible environment - an entire empty office floor in a former insurance building in the heart of the financial district. A space once defined by money and male power, we are transforming it into a surreal home for a unique theatrical experience. It will be both epic and intimate. We are angry and we are united. Unity is a great thing, and anger is a brilliant and beautiful fuel for creating art."
