Paramount+ Restores Original Jackass Episodes, Fulfilling Creators' 25-Year Vision
Paramount+ has restored all three seasons of Jackass to their original form, realizing Johnny Knoxville and other creators' vision from 25 years ago.

All three seasons of Jackass are back on Paramount+ in their original form at the request of creator Johnny Knoxville and others involved in the stunt-and-hijinks show.
According to a statement, the newly uploaded episodes were refreshed to “reflect the original vision from when the groundbreaking franchise first launched 25 years ago.”

“In the time since the release of Jackass 26 years ago, the television episodes had been re-edited, re-sequenced, and re-scored to the point they were unrecognizable,” Knoxville explained. “I found this out the hard way last year when attempting to watch them. Eeek!”

He continued, “But kudos to Paramount for giving us the $$ to restore the shows to how they initially aired in the first place. We can’t wait until you see all the terrible things we did to each other way back then and in the manner we intended!”
Per Deadline , Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the show were temporarily removed from Paramount+ in 2025 at the request of the Jackass creators — which include Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze — to restore the episodes.
