The performance marked Schonfeld's first major New York concert appearance following sold-out engagements in Auckland, New Zealand, and Beacon, New York, and coincided with the launch of 88 Stories, a new creative label focused on artist-owned storytelling across music, film, theater, and live experiences.
Schonfeld performed songs from throughout his career, including selections from The Father Who Stayed, Drift, Iron & Coal, Brooklyn to Beacon, 37 Notebooks, and Shades of Grey. The set also included audience favorites such as "House of Love."
Joining Schonfeld were Karina Gallagher, Gussie Schonfeld, Donnie Kehr, Max Sangerman, Melvin Tunstall III, Brook Wood, and The House of Love Choir. He was backed by a band featuring Nate Allen on bass, Matt Dickey and Dan Garcia on guitar, David Previ on drums, and Schonfeld on piano and vocals. Chris G. Burney and Matthew Gilbert served as production consultants, with Michael T. Clarkston as production coordinator.
The concert also served as the public unveiling of 88 Stories, an independent creative company developing projects across film, theater, music, education, and live events.
